"Hamam", video installation, 6', 2006

The idea of the video-installation "Hamam" is reconstruction of the atmosphere of the 16th century men's bathes and of the "Purifying" (or "Washing") rite carried out before the pray. I used in the project the music by Faraj Karayev borrowed from his album "Nostalgia". This theme emphasizes the expressiveness of the tradition partly lost which is routed in the Azerbaijani mythology. The rhythm and the visual sequence of the project create an impression of meditative harmony.

"Hamam" project.
